Well I got a little busy

I create a blog in anticipation of moving back to New York to go to grad school. I thought it would be a great way to stay in touch with my West Coast friends. But then school started and I had no time. There were kinks in working on a MAC and yeah I had all that damn schoolwork.

Anyhow, I just rediscovered what I had hoped to do and would like to move forward with this blog. Bear with me as I have a bit to learn. But what I hope to provide is insight into my life, my experiences, my likes/dislikes, my passions and more.

So if that interests you, stay tuned, participate and we'll see what happens.

Besos y abrazos,

Julia

Twelve Days and Counting....

Testing, testing, one, two, three. Is this thing on?

I think I did it! I created a blog! How very 21st Century of me.

My good friends John & Karen started a blog about their adoption process from China. I've been having fun reading about their trip over there and seeing fabulous photos of their gorgeous new daughter, Zoe.

I may not be adopting but I'm about to embark on a journey of my own. In just twelve days, I will be leaving San Francisco for New York and a few weeks after that, beginning a Masters in Social Work program at New York University. I thought that having a blog would be a great way to keep in touch with people and let them join in some of my adventures to come.

Before I begin school, I will be having a summer vacation of sorts. Visting Fire Island for the first time with my sister and her family. Seeing The Police at Madison Square Garden. Hubba Hubba. Then I'm headed back to California with a brief stop in San Francisco (crazy, I know) before heading up to Lake Tahoe for my cousin Jill's wedding. Next is the California Zephyr to Denver for another family gathering, culminating in my step-mom's 65th birthday in Boulder. I'll stay around town until my step-sister Dana's baby shower and then finally re-land in New York on August 20th. Orientation for school is on August 29th and 31st and classes begin in Tuesday, Septembr 4th. Phew. I'm tired just thinking about it all.
